On a fine autumn day the whole combined army is in an amorphous crowd covers the natural amphitheatre of the newly set Tarutino camp. There below a tiny body of infantry and cavalry is formed into a line. Further once can see a thin blue line of cossacks and even further French cavalry outposts may be seen. Among them a vast group of generals and officers observes the performance. Those with very sharp eye, excellent memory on faces and some knowledge of the Future could distinguish among them General Lauriston carrying peace proposals.

The tiny formation is the formidable 2nd Grenadiers division of the 2nd Army of the West. After numerous decisive actions its regiments consist of a couple of understrength companies each. The cavalry on its left is the Chevalier Guards regiment, which once again, just like after Austerlitz, is converged into a single squadron. But nevertheless the battle hardened troops under torn, pierces and blackened in smoke standards stand as a stone wall. Grey stone wall under this immense light blue sky and among the beauties of golden autumn.

An order is given and the whole line fades. A cuirassiers general rides to the center of the line. An exchange of salutes. A brief report. Greeting of the troops. A reply. Leaves falling down from the nearby trees after thundering URA!!! And a silence falls.

“Soldiers!” a strong voice of the cuirassier is heard “You fought with valor… In fact… You fought so well… That His Majesty the Emperor… Has decided… To create… Two of your commanders… General –ot-Infanterii Vladimir Repnin and Kapitan Andrey Jastrembskii… PRINCES”

And once again leaves fall from the thunder of URA!!!

“I have a pleasure… To present… These orders… St. George III class to Prince Vladimir… St. George IV class to Prince Andrey”

URA!!!

“To commemorate the deeds…. Of each of you… His Majesty… Orders… That starting from today… Each General… Officer… NCO… or soldier… Of Chevalier Guards Regiment… and Fanagoria grenadiers regiment… Wear a plate… On a helmet or a shako… with date 02.10.2012 inscribed… The very day… The VICTORY… in Struggle of Nations 2011… Was announced…”

URA!!!

“Soldiers!.. I know… We lost great many braves… But strong reinforcements… Are already coming… I’m pleased… To assign this fine new officer Praporshik Dmitrij Lukin… To command… Little Russian Grenadiers regiment…”

URA!!!

“With our strength renewed… We will drive… The coward enemy… Away from the MOTHERLAND!!!” a sharp move of a hand cancels the war cries “See you in Paris!!!”

URA!!! URAAAA!!! URRRRAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

And the last leaves fall from the trees…

An artist depicted the moment of 2nd Grenadiers division returning to the camp after this parade.

On the right one may see those vanqueshed in SON 2011 being escorted to Siberia.

The carts in front, under the sacks of straw, carry the last remains of Gen. Knox's wine collection to be drank during the celebration.

In honor of the newly crowned victors, awarded as Princes, salute!

But, surely it is that the mentioned envoy, Lauriston, comes on a mission of mercy, seeking the release of those fine officers who fought so bravely in the tournament, and deserve a better fate than Siberia.

Need you be reminded, among them are very fine officers of the Coalition.

The mercy of the Tsar shown in these matters will carry far across the breadth of Europa.

Regards,

Those who sincerely want to fight against the tyrant can, depending on nationality, enlist into the German-Russian, Southern or French legion.

Just as I suspected my plan to bring Russia over to France is working perfectly. First we replace Vodka with our wine, then cheese and baguette's next.
Our woman are in strategic reserve.

Nope. The first was Abraham Pietrovich Pietrov (Hannibal) godson of Pieter the Great and great grandfather to Alexandr Pushkin

Hi Clifton,

Since you are looking for black soldiers in the Napoleonic armies, the British army was known to have some in its ranks.
