The Prussian Hussars will open the road south of Rosseignies!
Reformed unites of the 8th Hanoverian Brigade were now also moving from the Northwest of Rosseignies on the rear of the advancing III French Corps .
1230: Only death and destruction awaited the French light Cav as the head long charged by General Pajol’s light Cavalry into the arms of the 1st Dragoon Guards, who then turned over the task of running them down to the 3rd Brig of Lord Uxbridge Cav Reserves. The 8th Belgians Hussars of the 3rd Brig hit the French Dragons on the flanks sending them back into their own line as French Col Puly of the 16 e of Dragons tried his best to keep what was left of them in some kind of order.
To the northwest of Rosseignies once more into the French fire marched the 8th Hanoverian Brigade pushing the French Infantry onto their own Dragoons.
52 troopers of the 5e Dragoons paid with their lives as the combine attack from the Allied 1st Guard Dragoons and 500 men of the Prince Regents Hanoverian Hussars joined them in the slaying of the French Dragons!
French Col Mugnier of the 16e Dragoons was luckier then his comrades when the 1st Life Guard and the 13th light Dragoons Image

Now that is pretty cool, Cliff! Somebody put a lot of work into reposing those figures for that display. I must admit that you are finding some really cool images for your thread.

ImageThe 6e III Brig of the allied Cav Reserves Dutch Hussars then went after more of the 4e Chass and the 12 e Dragon. The 6e Dutch Hussars came to a stop when they hit the 9e Chass a Cheval and Brigade commander French General Dommanget.
Joined by three regts of the Hanoverians Infantry who took the opportunity to kill as many of the French troopers as they could with what ever they could. This action also took place North of Rosseignies.
Lord Somerset led the 1st Dragoon Guards into action, charging the French who were the 5e Dragon with General Berton, General ImageImage[img]raised there was to be none left alive!
On the road to Waterloo Oberst Lettow reports between Houtain –le Val to the south north to Maison Du Roi was clear of any French.
Meanwhile in and around the Town of Soignée Major General Von Kruse moves his division into the unoccupied city from the north while the Nassau Cav occupied the west of the Town of Soignée.
In the southwest of that town Major General Byng was closing in on the Vi Corps as the French Heavy Cav was closing in on him.
Major Baring KGL kept the Guard and the KGL plus the Nassau lights in the east and what few remained of the queens Light Dragoons and the 11th light dragoons followed them into the wood south of the French pursuit.
Col Sharpe an a small detail was determined to catch that lone high ranking French officer.
My thirty-seven man detail was so near the fighting that we could hear gun fire coming from the north of La Saussois.
