Also, for the newer officers you can always ask your corps commander if you have any question or even go to the Pierre's Tavern
As your corps commander I do receive email and even answer them

Thanks, John. Your efforts are always much appreciated.

It occurred to me that a discussion of our DoR System had occurred in the past. Some of you may find this post of interest http://wargame.ch/board/nwc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12133&start=0.

I'd personally like to see the reports available that the admins can see. Maybe if not available for loading on the site, downloaded and posted to the Club website more often would be nice....

There is also the report in the actual registration page where certain folks can download that spreadsheet that has all the games ever registered in the system, sides, scenarios, games, results.....that'd be really nice too. Something posted to the Club site quarterly would be a good thing.... :)

I know DoR Reports are done annually, but they should be downloaded quarterly and made available in both PDF & spreadsheet form. The listed PDF's do not allow filtering on various levels of data that's there but not accessible...

The ACWGC systems has a lot of reports, officer OOB data and history available in the system. I know Dominik's concern is he doesn't have the bandwidth on his server....but here are ways we can use what we've got to make things accessible. Just some thoughts. :)

Sirs, <salute>

I am impressed beyond expectations at the amount of work that Lt Scott Ludwig is volunteering to take on for this club

I am honestly not sure how many people read the DoR Reports annually. If you are a member that would love to see these reports posted quarterly, please respond in this post so I can guage the relative level of interest to quarterly report posting. I will certainly undertake the project if it is popularly demanded by a significant number of members.

Let me know, guys. I work for you.

Regarding the discussion on the old thread, I really don't see any problem responding to confirmation emails, it stops cheating and sorts out any errors in the process of game registration, that is not different from another club where I do my TOAW III rounds.
It's a minor workload for the players and saves the admins of manually correcting incorrect or even faked game registrations.
Even players have some "work" to do in clubs.

Regarding the reports, I wouldn't mind more details but the question is if the small programming resources available should be used for that or if there are more important things to do.

Question for quarterly vs annually is, are there enough changes to justify that?
Currently don't have a clue how much is happening in one quarter so I'm not sure if quarterly are needed.

Christian's native language may not be English, but he can certainly comprehend what he reads in English.

I personally do not think the DoR Reports warrant a quarterly posting myself. They are interesting once a year, but not anything more than that to me personally. Of course, others may feel differently, and I certainly want to see the numbers who do. From my perspectve, it should be the members who run this club, and I work for them.

Christian, as a new member, have you read the annually posted DoR Reports? Just curious. I like to solicit the perpective of new members who are (hopefully) objective in their viewpoints.

I am sure the guys over at NSA have read the reports. They probably have all the info you need now.

..... a little Eric Snowden humor ....

I guess I stepped into something with that sentence but I'm not sure in what.
Does Todd thing of a very "different" clubs compared to ours? 8)

Regarding the reports, yes I have checked but at that time just out of curiosity as I didn't know "DOR" is all about.
Looking at them I see them mainly handy for the higher echelons of our club so they know where it is heading and if something has to be done about it.
For example the number of active players raised by 22 from 2010 to 1012 to but the number of inactive players almost tripled, I guess you can read something out of it.
Or the numbers of completed games, it raised from 192 in 2010 to 424 in 2011 and to 819 in 2012, a very positive development.

So yes they are handy for certain person but I doubt that they are needed quarterly, but providing them also as spreadsheet would very good as the user could toy around with sorting & filters to get the picture he needs out of those statistics.

Sir, I agree with the sentiment you have expressed - even players have some work to do in clubs.

The annual stats listed isn't even a complete publishing of that data. Also folks should know there is a spreadsheet that shows all game played in DoR and the ability to filter and pull out data for a guy like myself who likes data, stats and tracking trends it is a lot of fun. :) The Cabinet could even file reports on the health of the Club & gaming out of it. There is a lot of potential from the data and posting stuff takes a minute if two. They are great reports... :) But hey my sites always had a lot more data than the others. I just think it is fun and visitors might find it interesting too... :)
