As far as I know the 3D skirmisher images had not been fixed in the Wagram update that was put out so just know that for the Polish images and anything later in the 3D formed infantry images files there is no corresponding 3D skirmisher image and they will appear as routed guys or perhaps no image at all. Just FYI for you 3D gamers out there. Am sure its going to get fixed eventually.

Mark Adams, who did the original work, no longer works with JTS. The other guys are busy on projects.

I have done this sort of thing before when I built the Wagram mod. (which is now part of the latest update for the Wagram Campaign game). Its not hard work just very tedious. You have to separate the images from the formed infantry - Line Formation view into individual soldiers. Easy to get "Pixelitus" doing that.

I fired up Wagram for the first time in a long time and updated it and found plenty of missing units - not just Skirmishers...

I have informed Rich (with screenshots). I even did a fresh install and updated my drivers in case it was just me.

I am running ver 1.12a - vanilla units

I opened the editor and used the 'Wagram-Extended.oob' to have a look - The Austrians all seem to be OK but I found the following French units missing their corresponding 3D graphics:

All Legere troops with the red piped uniforms
The Tiralleur du Po & Corse
Erzberg Regiment
Hohburg Regiment
Leib-Garde Musketeers
Leib-Garde Fusiliers

I tried Phillip Divines mod but there were even more units missing!

I then opened the '18093D units.oob'

Missing:

Legere
Baden Line
Tiralleur Po & Corse
Hesse-Darmstadt Line
Hesse-Darmstadt Fusiliers
North Italian & Balkan Light
Polish Line
Polish Chasseurs
Polish Uhlans
13 Polish Artiller (gun but no crew)

1809units.oob - Missing:

Legere
Tiralleur Po & Corse
Baden Line
Hesse-Darmstadt Musketeer
Hesse-Darmstadt Fusiliers
North Italian & Balkan Light
132 Polish Line (appear as routed)

In fact, all the unused/Unknown units dont have their 3D. Maybe that is intentional in this .oob?

I didn't check any skirmishers through. It seems to be very much the same units in each .oob that are missing since the update.

Hope this helps - any idea on how i can get around this as playing without 3D units is hard

Ross - answering your comments in order:

The Wagram Expanded OB file is not used in the game. I just did a search in the scenario files using Ultra Edit and that OB file does not show up in a search in .scn files.

Next, I see all of the 3D images fine in the 3D OB Layout scenario - Units-3D_OB.scn - all images, except for when you detach skirmishers for 3D# 34-40 are showing up fine. Those units that used the same 3D# are lined up over on the right.

The Units.bmp OB scenario - Units_OB.scn - there are units that had no 3D image. They are noted in the Unit name (see Info area). You wont find them in the scenarios. For instance: The Mamelukes are not in the game - we had the image but as it was never used Mark Adams said that no 3D image would be made for them. Remember that this is one of the older games in the catalog and we were new to this then.

I opened up the Wagram_OB.scn scenario and there were no missing 3D images.

The Legere units will not always have a Units and 3D image match. The piping colors are not always going to line up.

Could you try this:

1. Uninstalled Campaign Wagram.
2. Save any files you want to keep in a safe place. Then delete the Campaign Wagram folder.
3. Reinstall the game.
4. Install the Update again.
5. See if that helped.

You might have some incorrect files in your Map folder.

Philippe's mod may not work properly with the new update because 3D image numbers were changed. They are based on the Wagram Mod that Philippe and Warren Bajan helped me build.

I am doing some checking just to be sure. Other than the 3D skirmisher images missing I have not found anything wrong. I have a hard time seeing the small 3D images so I cant help you too much on the image matchups.

Mark Adams emailed me and he might be helping me with the Skirmisher images that need to be added.

I laid out some units you discussed from the Wagram-Expanded.oob file in a test scenario. Specifically Tir. du Po and du Corse and two Legere units with the red piping (Carabinier uniform) and here is what I see:



So I see those units in my game. Again it might mean that you need to uninstall, delete the Campaign Wagram folder and then reinstall your game.

It's sure worth to try a clean install, also check for the latest patches, there was an a series released just lately.
I can only advise to install the patch in a separate clean folder, and then copy its content into the proper game folder. That way you can ensure that all files got properly unpacked & replaced.
