Gentlemen,
I'm a new recruit and I'm seeking a fellow officer as opponent to improve my tactical skills. I've played several times with my friends in different scenarios and I realized that there was still a lot to learn.
I prefer medium and large size game because I don't have much free time recently.
I currently own all 14 WDS Napoleonic games (except for The final struggle) but I'm not familiar with all the scenarios so I hope my opponent could bring a proposal.
I want to play with Manual Defensive Fire OFF because in this way it will take us less time to sent pbem files. I also want to disable the Partial Retreats optional rule because I'm still trying to figure it out how it works, LOL.

Sous-Lieutenant Yam,
nice to see that you seek battle right away, that is the spirit that the Grande Armée needs.


Just in case you consider playing in phases instead of turns allow me to note that you can use Manual Defensive Fire and also turn Auto Defensive Fire on, that way you also only have one file transfer per turn but play in phases.
The Auto Defensive Fire can then be adjusted by the Auto DF Dialog in the A/I Menu, here you can adjust the range of the automated fire and by that make sure fire is not wasted.

Hi Lancelot,

If you are still looking I would be happy to take on the challenge, I own bayonets on the Rhine, Marengo and Leipzig. Default rules are OK for me, still learning the tactics. Should be able to play 3 to 4 turns per week.
