Together with my battle partner, Raffaele, we are preparing an epic battle with the Leipzig order of battle, but set in northern Italy, in the large map of Marengo. Actually the mastermind of all this work is Raffaele, let's just say I'm acting as media support. We will update you with maps, orders of battle, and war diary (AAR).

May be a good opportunity to play blindly without knowing the original set up. I would imagine it would balance out the forces as Allied cavalry will be facing more of the obstructed terrain

Sounds interesting, I'm sure many here are looking forward to an AAR about this.

Great to see this sort of innovation - well beyond my technical expertise! Looking forward to reading more about this project.

And I had, at one point, considered adding in an alternate OB for Campaign 1814 where it assumes that rather than fight at Leipzig, Napoleon retreats leaving the French reinforcements that arrive at that battle to remain at Dresden or garrison another city to tie down Allied forces. Thus, he would have had a lot more troops available in France. Still an option I might explore eventually.

I would deduct losses for engagements fought en route to the Rhine and for stragglers. I think it would make for a more balanced campaign making it highly likely that there would have been a Spring campaign. Add in Wellington's forces from the southwest as well arriving from Spain in scenarios for the WPW title. Ten minute moves using the original PDT files I designed.

We are at 95 % of the OOB preparation.... It takes a lot of patience.
