Dear Mr. Malone,

I do believe we had casually made a previous agreement to engage our two forces soon. The hour of your fate, and the termination of your fledgling military career, approaches sir. Please consult with your officers (if you have any officers) concerning an appropriate field for this affair. My only request is that it not be a contest centered around the taking of a fortification. I am a battlefield commander sir, not the quartermaster of some insignificant walled-in shanty town. Gentlemen's (you are a gentleman I assume eh?) terms of battle may be discussed prior to engaging.

Please promptly reconcile all your back taxes and debts that you may owe, so that your widow is not burdened any more than is necess'ry.

I await your reply and remain,
Your Most Humble Servant

Pvt. Malone
I wouldnt worry too much about the aged Mr. Natta. His sedentary lifestyle has eroded his mental acumen and his gout has hobbled his once nimble reactions. Be kind to this old man and only slap him with the flat blade of your claymore. This scolding should convince him that he is better equipped to deal with the Tory wenches in Philadelphia, than to deal with the likes of you and your Celtic Light Infantry.

Ahhh yes, our indigenous friends doing what they do best I see...interfering in our milit'ry matters. Well my good Chief Mingoe Pointy Head Rodes, aside from a slight case of the "pox" contracted in Philadelphia, I'm fit as a fiddle by Jove! I'll even arrange to have Mr. Malone's vaunted claymore sent to you as a post-battle gift old boy.

GEN. Natta sir, I thought our last exchange was just you and your Red Coated buddies letting out a little hot air , I did not think that you would want to meat on a field of battle. While my dance card is filled in all three clubs I'll be more than happy to let you taste some cold steel. I'll have couier sent to you Friday to discuss when and where. As for my friend the Chief, thanks for the support. I'll do my best to show our Red Coated friend that his best course of action would be to packup his men and German henchmen and sail home. Disband his uncivilized natives and convince his Tory friends that they are better off with true freedom and not that falsehood that that fat overwieght and disgusting false Hanoverian so called King can give them .

Tony, Tony, I fear you don't know what you're doing, running head-on into your certain destruction ... If you think Ft. Ticoderoga was as bad as it could get, well, you ain't seen nothing yet. Sir Phil's colours carry this motto for a reason! You better arrange for a nice burial place and pick someone you trust (if anyone) to send your valuables (if any) back home. Alas, what a promising career is thus suddenly terminated! Really, you might want to consider recanting your allegiance to this despicable rebellion and returning to loyalty rather than embarking on this absolutely hopeless fight! (Phil, I am sorry, but someone has to open this boy's eyes!)

LT COL Walter, you may have the advantage on me right now at the Fort, but I asure you that even if defeated, my forces will raly and strike back a blow for FREEDOM against the forces of evil. As for the General, I think he might be underestimating the resolve of my Celts. You may have stolen our homelands in the old countries but you will not have this one.

Mr. Malone,

There is no rush to put you and your Celtic barbarians to flight. I realize that you currently have more than you can handle at Fort Ti, and that two consecutive losses would severely damage your troops' morale. So please, take what time you need to recover your composure from Lt. Col. Walter's thrashing, then come see me for your next lesson in humility. Hmmm, I may bring my beloved poodle "Boudicca" to this affair!

I am sorry, Sir Phil, I need him a little longer ... once we have completed the carnage at the Forts, we'll have at least two tries at Saratoga. It's the "Burgoyne's Folly" campaign, but so far Burgoyne is doing quite well, I think.
