Time to speak up gents, I've put on my rhino hide <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>.

Has anyone played any of my add-ons? What are your thoughts? Please feel free to post comments or suggestions. Just please remember to identify which scenario or concept project you're referring to.

For those who has lost track I have the following sets out:

- 1776 Test
- 1776 Bar Fight
- 1814 Campaign
- AmosWars
- AmosWars2
- AmosWars3
(yes each is a bit different)
- Zulu

Just want to get some feedback as to if any of my ideas are going in the right direction, that of making more interesting, playable or historical games.

I want to try and improve upon the above so any comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks!

Al, well, I've installed and frizzled about a bit on my own with a few of them, but the only one I've played (and thus feel comfortable enough to comment on) is the "bar fight" mods.

While it took me a few turns to get used to them, I think that by and large they work pretty well. David and I took alot of casaulities, but I can't be sure of that was the mods, or just the way we fought.
The ability of guns to engage in effective counter-battery fire is the only thing I saw that really struck me as "wrong", and we've discussed that. I'm not sure how to reflect that, as you are looking at a different sort of target when you model roundshot on infantry, as opposed to guns. I'm not sure the game engine really allows that to show. Maybe the only option is house rules, that either disallow it, or restrict it to the "big guns". Not sure. But overall, they made an interesting game, and worked well with my attempts to be a bit more "accurate" with my topics.

The scenarios and situations were good Al, but I agree with Gary that counter-battery fire was too attractive to pass up making for some ahistorical play. A couple of possible remedies might be lowering their value again, and cutting back on the artillery ammo. Make it more productive in the long run (points-wise) to fire at units rather than at artillery, and set the ammo supplies so that they are less likely to be spent on high risk counter-battery shots.
