Sir Phil,

It's a national heritage to award the defeated. How many battle did George lose, starting way back in 1754, and we made him President!

Defeat humbles a man, and humility is an admirable trait for a leader.

(...and it helps when he knows he usually gets his hat handed to him, so he seeks all other solutions to a crises before choosing the military option.)

Oak leaves ... a red ribbon for your old hat, that's all you get. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Chief Mingoe,
While I support the Proclamation of 1763. Your station is not appropriate for a command in His Majesty's army. However, I'm sure your support would be welcomed by the Indian Department.

Mingo,

Yep I hear the Indian Department has a nice gift of blankets to new comers, and a head stone, for some reason.

Major Reed,
I was just doing some shopping to see if the commission in your army was greater than or equal to the bounty that is out for your scalp.
