Gents,

It gives me great pleasure to announce the third title in the Early American War's series - The French and Indian War. This new game will go on sale from HPS Simulations on March 7th, and will be added into the club right away. You can go to my site to read more about it: http://www.hist-sdc.com/fiw/index.html

Please note that official information has not been posted on the HPS site yet, but will be soon.

Regards,

Rich

Rich - congrats pard. Good to see you get your second title out the door. Am going over to my local sporting goods shop today to get my canoe and paddle!
(added via edit) - wow! BIG Map for Quebec! Nice Rich. Or was that Al's creation? Would be nice to know which parts (maps, scenarios) that Al did so I can write up a nice article on his work. [:D]

Honestly, along with GMT's Wilderness War this adds a definite milestone to the hobby. This war has been done in some wargames before of course but the level that you guys work at is astounding.

Can't wait to get my copy.

You come canoeing wit' zee Voyageurs, you mus' learn zee paddling songs to stay in rhythm, eh? Repeat after me...

Thanks Bill. Yes, the Quebec map is huge! Should be pretty useful for sub-mapping and custom scenarios as well. You can thank Al for the idea of the huge maps, but I'm the one that created them. Basically the division of labor went something like this: Al - oob's and the bulk of the historical scenarios, most everything below #100, and then the mini-campaigns. I did the maps and the 1758 campaign which covers scenarios 100 - 216.

Al also has some more mini-campaigns in the works which we hope to release as a expansion package later in the year.

I think there's something for everyone in this relase. Good historical coverage, hypothetical battles, small scraps for quick play, huge battles on big maps. Many of the 1758 battles would be good for multiplayer games I think. I'll also be putting some custom stuff together for the expansion pack with this goal in mind.

Rich

Looking forward to some great games with this one. One of the very interesting historical periods. Sort of one of the "first" WORLD wars!!! (Well, western world, anyway.)
