Attention! In order to acknowledge the merits of those of their officers who have shown conspicuous bravery and excellent achievement on the field of battle, His Britannic Majesty, His Most Christian Majesty, the Joint Chiefs of the Indian Alliance, and the Continental Congress (about to be created some 30 years hence, but let's not be fussy [;)]) have seen fit to create new medals for the engagements of the currently ongoing bloody strife in their respective colonies, or ancestral lands, respectively, commonly referred to as the "French and Indian War".
