Rome, NY hit with tornado on 7/16. The churches you see are only a block or two from Fort Stanwix. The fort was not damaged but is closed for the time being while the city cleans up.

No injuries in Rome but another town 20 miles away had a fatality.

That's awful Dale! I'm so sorry to see the damage done to Rome, albeit Stanwix being ok, but still.

Hope you all managed to escape w/out any damage. I know you're close to Rome.

All was fine in Oriskany, just a few miles away. We just had a brief thunderstorm. Rome is still cleaning up.

Glad all was ok for you. Yeah, I'm sure Rome will be cleaning up for a while. The spire from the second church was taken clear off.
