While Launchbury is tryin' to poke someone in the eye, I'm gonna pull off his pretty new sergeant's sash and tie him up with it!

Sgt Launchbury

Is it possible to take a break from the brawl & send me your turn? Haven't heard from you in six days. [:D]

That's perfectly alright, I've got a whole trunkload of sashes over here. Let's see...I've got two sashes from General Morgan, courtesy of Tony Malone and Tim Maines. Actually, I was able to snatch up Tim's entire command staff! In a single turn! Let's see here, I've got Major Triplett's sash, General Morgan's sash and sword...Major McDowell, Colonels Pickens and Hammond and Howard were also kind enough to include their hats along with their sashes. And my my, you might care to look into a barber. Your Officers' comb-overs are truly attrocious. What a selection!

As the merry band enter the tavern their leader looks aghast! What! a bar party and we weren't invited[?] Their gooses are cooked!!! [:o)]

He looks at his lads ... back at the brawl .... back to his lads. "Boys" he says "Take off your jackets ... you just might be mistaken for British in em ... and it looks like the British are about to get all ganged up on"

"Now lads .. you may begin. But don't pick on just them red coats ... you can "tweak" an injun every once and awhile too."

THE WILD GEESE have arrived!!! [;)]

While his men instruct Sir Natta on the proper etiquette for fisticuffs (five at a time) duc Cope strolls over picks up the natty hound and gently places him out doors ... since the sign he saw still smoldering in the fire did say no DOGS [:D] .. but he couldn't quite make out the rest as it was burnt pretty bad ... something about no "rashes" either .. [;)]

Squarely facing one of General "The Duck of Death" Cope's men with fists a'churning, I stop to point at a gravy stain on the lad's vest. He looks down and takes a hooked index finger to the nose and is out of action. [B)] These rustics are sooo inept! [|)] Now where are my spare wigs?? Bartholemew howls outside like a poodle possessed. [:0]

Can anyone name two movies which I made some reference to above?

Phil

Listening to the howling from beyond the door I wished out loud that I had thrown the mut in the fire instead, but my aide Lt Col Shortshanks reminds me just how horrid poodle smells while being roasted.

"Your are right Sir! But once you get past the smell do you rememeber how good they taste?" Sargent Lincoln adds. May I remind you just how hungry we were! answers Shortshanks.

Hey guys, "why is it that Sir Natta don't have himself one of those British dogs? He can't really prefer one of them sissy dogs to one of those "meat eating" hounds they breed down in the marshes, can he?"[:)][:D][8D][?][8D][:D][:)][;)]

Duck of Death = Unforgiven (ya gotta love English Bob) [B)][8D]

"These rustics are soo inept.." = The Patriot

Righteo on both guvnuh! And the little man wins a ceegar! (which I place in his mouth, light for him, and which immediately explodes) [:0] [:p]

Even though the British bulldog is often linked by association to Mother Britannia, it is indeed a rather uncivilized breed of canine that just doesn't compliment a gentleman...with it's slobbering, squat posture and sagging jowls.

No Sir, a gentleman is in fact enhanced by a regal and loyal companion like Bartholemew. He too is accustomed to a British officer's life of luxury you see, and carries himself accordingly. In his little red parade jacket he is the pure embodiment of Brrritish courage, culture, and refinement. That's the short explanation. [8)]

Fighting my way to the door to let the poor little creature back into the tavern, he bolts past me and makes a beeline to General Cope's boots and hoses all the trail dust off for him.Image

You know I think you made a typo there. That picture is not synonymous with courage.

Well Natty Old Boy, the old exploding cigar, as crass and distasteful as it was; was actually quite effective. At getting my blood up at least! No more polite, gentlemenly fisticuffs. I dun'learned me some injun' rasslin' an' am 'bout to teach you a lesson.

"Their'll be wigs on the green this day!" (what's that line from?)
