Hello,
after my first battle here in the Colonies this year, I am looking for a Colonial opponent in a small/medium battle of 1776 or 1812.

Regards

Ollie, if you have room on your dance card for a second small scenario, consider yourself challenged by a Frenchman. It will be my first game of 1776, but I am an old hand at PBEM. I shouldn’t have any trouble with 5-7 turns a week.

Oh yeah,… Get the hell outta America you Hessian Dog!

Evidently those pesky little colonials (and their French friends) are quite hostile once it comes to us Hessian Dogs. I think they're just jealous of our pretty uniforms and cool looking flags. Go and teach those colonials a lesson with your bayonet Regular Kreuels! Ugh, back to homework now.

Justin, I guess you're right with our flags and uniforms. Stars and stripes are pretty boring!
But I do not fear a crowd of bad clothed, bad armed and bad smelling farmers. My Grenadiers will teach them a lesson in German warfare! I am keen on going back to Hessen to fight the Frenchies on European ground!

Well, I see those German type of soldiers, seem to they are all that. Well even though my Celts have lost a couple, I am sure they can make those German fellows fear the bite of a claymore. Oh yea, as Mr. Quinn said so well, Get the heck out of America. <g>

Mr. Kreuels, I am unclear, have you accepted my challenge or do I need to go over there and slap your unshaven face with a white glove?

Thank you, gentlemen!

I think I have enough opponents for now! When I defeated them all, I will come back and ask for "dessert"!

Regular Kreuels,
Do not feel alone in the struggle against these inept amateur "soldiers". The King realizes that you haven't been payed in several fortnights, but he has authorized me to alot you money that has recently been collected from the lenient taxes that must be imposed on these vagrants. And of course, you may keep whatever cheap trinkets that you can gather up from the retreating traitors once you dispatch them from the field. I suppose that a few barrels of rancid apple cider and poor quality powder will not be much reward, but rest assured that there is greater satisfaction in rousting these criminals than money can buy.
I Remain at Your Service Sir,

GEN Natta sir, I think you greatly underestimate our determination and resolve, not to mention our adaptability. While my dance card is full in this and two other clubs, the first opening I have I would be more than glad to let you test the steel of my claymore, not to mention my musket fire. You English have stole 2 homelands form my men, there will not be a third. GOD Bless America.

It would appear that the only way you know to motivate your Hessian soldiers is with by promising them long overdue salary and the opportunity for plunder.

I have cornered a band of traitors on King's Mountain and will soon rid the world of at least one band of these scoundrals. <fingers crossed>

My Dear Private Malone,

Please allow me to check my shedule of planned activities to see if I can accomodate you and your tin claymore.....Luigi, my latest itinerary please.

1. Fox hunting with Madam Farnsworth and assorted hangers-on.

2. Attend Lady Chatterly's "Annual Ball at the Colonial Taxpayers Expense".

3. A fitting for new attire appropriate to a semi-retired country squire.

4. A round of whist against Lord Hamilton and his cheating cronies.

5. A late dinner with Madam Stuart and her three lovely young daughters.

6. Fencing lessons given to that clumsy lout the Duke of Umbershire.

7. A fitting for a sumptuous new wig, hand made in upstate New York and delivered by speedy ship.

8. An audience with the King to report on the jolly good show our lads are putting on in the colonies.

9. A visit to Surgeon Campbell to see if permanent cheek moles are a possibility. (I loathe having to pay for false ones you see).

10. A dissertation and lecture at Eaton on the history of the Celts. (This should take but a brief and offhand couple of minutes).

Hmmm, well it appears that I AM rather busy my good Private. But perhaps I can find time to shatter a claymore or two over my knee in the forseeable future.
