Gentlemen, on behalf of the Award Center, it is my pleasure to announce that His Britannic Majesty and the Continental Congress, in joint action , have seen fit to bestow the following battlefield and campaign medals upon the following heroes of the war:

Colonial:

Brig. Gen. Garry Cope - Campaign Medal 1812, Bladensburg
Lt. Col. Rich Hamilton - Campaign Medal 1812
Maj. Mike Cox - Lundy's Lane
Capt. Dwight Conlan - Burlington Heights

British:

Lt. Col. Stefan Reuter - Campaign Medal 1812, Sackett's Harbour
Ens. Terry Lubka - First Saratoga, Bladensburg
Cpl. Rob Hamper - Queenston Heights
Cpl. David Vuyadinov - Bladensburg

My congratulations for all recipients!

For those interested in statistics, with these awards the gap between the British and the Colonial side has shrunk to a single award (111:110 in the Colonial favor). Especially for the War of 1812, the British are catching up, while they are defending their lead in the Revolution. Still, while the British excel in individual 1776 battles, the Gentlemen on the Colonial side keep winning more campaigns (1776 as well as 1812). (Details are available from the statistics page at the Award Center.)

... and while I couldn't mention it in the official announcement, it makes me proud to see that ALL awards for the British side have been won by RNAC officers and NCO's!

For the glory of the RNAC!!

There you have it, better to lose a battle and win a war.

Seems like the Brits are suffering from the German WWI & WWII syndrome! hehehe...

I believe you shortchanged us. I won an 1812 campaign versus Ernie this month. I even did a little dance....a war dance.....

If it was the full war campaign, please contact Lt. Col. Reuter. He keeps the records.

Wait, I just see you said "this" month. Obviously, these are the medals for last month. Patience, Chief! It's a warrior's virtue.

I tried, but Bladensburg was just to tough for me. MANGO chewed me up very badly. For some reason, those colonials stood their ground and my flanking attacks were repulsed, easily.
