If anyone is interested, I've put together a mini-hypothetical scenario using the British and French battalion structure c1703.

The biggest change is that the French are stuck with "Q" weapons, which isn't so much that they used a different musket, but a reflection that they used a 4 line formation, thus lessening their ability to fire (plus, they had not adopted fire-by-platoon, so they were still more degraded) It's just really my experiement into the world of scenario making, but if anyone is interested in it, let me know and I'll send you the zip. It's about 2300 French vs 1700 Brits.

(editedit) Okay, to be a bit more clear... I simply degraded the weapons strength of the musket the French used to represent that they got less firepower per man due to their formation.

Oh, yes, I also took the liberty of using some of you guys as leaders, so if you ever wanted to shoot me down like a dog, here's your chance <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
