The young officer stepped into the Tavern and looked about, nodding a pleasant nod to a few officers that he recognized. He looked around, walked to the middle of the room, took an empty chair, and stood proudly. As he faced the room, he cleared his throat and said loudly above the voices.
" One fine British officer is needed upon the field of battle. If there is one to be found in this tavern, a fine British officer that is, Then I would like to see if they really can best the ranks of the Colonies."
