Guys, I am in the midst of working on a new campaign file for Campaign 1776. It is a what-if situation between the French and Hessians. France won the French and Indian Wars and England lost the colonies to Frederick the Great. The Hessians thus come to garrison the American colonies (well loved in Pennsyvania!) while the French have designs on destroying Frederick's prestige.
The plan is to invade from Quebec down to Boston and disrupt the training program that the Hessians have developed (goose stepping Colonials!). The Adams family in particular has procured promises that if France can win the initial battles that many Americans will come over to their cause.
If France will give the colonists their freedom then they will willingly take up arms against their German owners.
Meanwhile, locals have learned of Adam's agreement and are speeding up their efforts to train more men for the Hessian army.
------------------------------------------------------
With three total battles and a weaving campaign tree allowing the loser to return to the victory path, this campaign should be enjoyable for all. It is best out of 3 for the victory but if the player that has lost 2 battles can win a Major Victory in the last game then he can win the campaign. Sort of like the real War of Independence where Washington lost the battles but won the war!
------------------------------------------------------
Look for this to be put up on Rich Hamilton's site really soon!

Cool Al, I will have to check it out. Always like to play my good friends the Hessians. Thing is I always have to buy them lunch!

Work continues on this project. I have finished the text for the second branch which is about a move from Boston to New York by the French.
I have some updating to do on another project tonite but I should be able to finish off the campaign file, picture Situation maps and scenarios by the weekend.
