For 1812 most militia have been changed to low grade infantry, so they can't use extended line anymore. I also changed the OOB's so that Indian's used the new weapon type.

How will the extended line change affect games in progress? I'm playing at Bladensburg with a ton of militia in extended line. Will applying the patch produce an error, or should I wait until the end of the game?

Thanks Rich! (and others involved.)

Though not listed, I assume that the new weapon types are recognized? (small arms, etc.)

Grumble, grmble...that would be my fault. I made a change to the pdt file's, and I used old copies which didn't have the new weapons added somehow...so now I get to go back in and change them all, again...and issue and "a" patch. Sorry...should have it up there soon...

Rich

Ok, I have fixed the pdt files so now the "D" & "J" weapon types are added in, which will fix the 0 range for the Indians. You can download the fixed pdt files here:

http://www.hist-sdc.com/1812pdts.zip

Just unzip them into your main game directory. Also, we'll be issuing an "a" patch to make this official on the site soon.

Regards,

Rich

Notes on Extended Line and applying the patch to ongoing games:

It leaves the units in Extended line...so you can apply the patch, but as you change unit's formations and they leave Extended line, they won't be able to go back to it. Either that, or you can wait until the scenario is over.

I've tried this on my machine, no crash or anything of that sort.
