From out of the ranks of the British Centre Column five heroes stand forth. Their bronzed faces appear like Gods, their scarlet uniforms blaze gloriously in the sun. They are of course none other than:
Sgt. Henderson, Ensign Hipkins, Ensign Tombesi, Corporal Nelms and General Natta.
They speak, voices like thunder echoing across the battlefield:
“Americans! Where now are the men who would defend you? Who amongst you can still defy the will of His Majesty the King? Which American soldier still has a pair of trousers without holes in them?â€

Actually, I'm defying three of them at the moment. Hipkins is stymied on the banks of Brandywine Creek. Henderson is regrouping at Plattsburg and Natta is on the defensive at Eutaw Springs. I don't care to command any British filth rounded up from the streets of London against their will, so no mirror match here, but I will challenge Nelms or Tombesi to a straight-up Lundy'Lane(c)

You are down to four. Just got an email from Ens. Hipkins stating that he was taking leave to take care of personal business. I wish him a speedy return.

Cpl. Burke Sir,
We commend your bravery (or foolishness) in taking on so many of the Centre Column in battle.
However, our challenge was for a team match. We proposed a mirror match as this seems the fairest way to conduct such a duel, most scenarios unfortunately being somewhat unbalanced towards one side or another. We were of course willing to let our usual standards of uniform slip in order to take command of the tattered Yankee army ourselves.
It appears unfortunately that while your own fighting spirit is worthy, that of your fellows is not. Whether cowardice or lack of skill/proper dress is responsible we cannot tell. It remains plain however that the forlorn American army remains skulking in the bushes and either will not or cannot raise sufficient forces to meet us on the fields of glory. They shout much, but their deeds fall short of honour.
It is true that Ens. Hipkins has become unable to fight since issuing the challenge, due to a serious wound caused by a cracked whisky glass. Despite the temporary loss of this fine officer to the Column, it has to be said that this makes the job of the Yankees even easier. The Centre Column stands ready still. Raise a team of four then and appoint your captain. Send your courrier to our HQ and let battle commence. At present the Centre Column appears already to have gained a stunning morale victory......... [^]
Ens. Henderson
