Hey,

How can we be having <font color="orange"><u>'Hudson Valley Mohawks' </u></font id="orange"> in the Grand Army[?][:(]

I am the only Mohawk tribe!

These foul impersonators[:(!] should move to the Indian Alliance!

I do not call myself 1st Mohawk Foot Guards, or French Imperial Guard, or 1st American Volunteers (made these up)!!!!

What is going on, I do not know of any of my blood relatives joining the Colonial riff raff[B)].

Next thing we will be seeing is Louisiana Huron (French) and Cherokee Mounted Infantry SC Division (Colonial)!

I would like a full explanation of this, or I will suspended all activities until I kill all the traitors!

Chief One Feather

Whoa there Chief Ruffle Feathers! Rein in you warpath.

You should remember that there were very, very loose alliances within the various tribes and some wanted to remain independent of the masses and park their wigwams away from the villages.

So, take a couple of swigs of that good Bahamian rum and settle down.[;)][:o)][:D][:D]

I still say Indian names cannot be in the American, French, or British Army. Otherwise, what was the point in moving? I was in the British Army, but because I decided to stay as Mohawks I was moved. But strictly speaking, I can now change my name to

1st and Last French, Scottish, Welsh, English, Colonial (and any other nation not mentioned above) Royal American Mohawk Grenadiers.

And I know all my white brothers across the pond would stand next to me in line waving my proud Turkey feather Colors (Colours).

They would not laugh, with a name like that they would just send us in 1st! (just to get rid of us!)

So, which Branch of the British Foreign Ministry do I apply for my name change?

Does this cost any yellow rock, or can I bring along some proper scalps?[:D]

Chief One Feather has returned to his teepee to piss on these traitors who call themselves Mohawks from Hudson Valley!

Better yet, how about Catskill Mountian Yankee Mohawks! My grandmothers place is located at Yankee Lake between Wurtsboro, Port Jervis and Monticello New York.

Better yet, I can travel back to my alma mata, Florida Gators, tell them to shove it and join the Florida State Seminoles! Didn't a few of them get scalped (more likely shot!) in War of 1812?

All Indian sports names are cool, and it is a fact that almost all of the US states are named after Indian tribes. The only school that is pathetic is St. John's (Redman) now Red Storm!

My favorite team (I being born in Topeka, KS) is the Kansas City Chiefs!!!!!

Does anyone know where they came from and the name before KC? Should be easy.

Chief One feather is right. When we did the reorg, the Hudson Valley Mohawks should have been moved. Is the CO of the "HVM" even active?

An advance on the war path certainly isn't in order here, but on the other hand, per the guidelines of the reorganization, neither is an Indian unit within another army. I'll pow-wow with the other army heads and investigate the matter further. In the mean time, smoke a pipe and relax...[8D]

Bill Barker joined the club April 14, 2002. His most recent game was completed was in March, but has an MP game open.

Rather than get your loin cloth in a bunch, it might have been simpler to email myself or Bill before posting.

Hello to All,

I am just stirring the pot my friends!

I am never one to get angry! I love this club and this is just a way to get some postings from everyone.

I just found it funny, like finding a long lost brother.

And I was curious. By no means am I angry or meant any ill will.

So please take all postings by me as such!

Great job Al for guessing Dallas Texans. Now I see we have Houston Texans, how things change.

Cheers from lonely Mohawk from Down Under,

Al,

Did you know that the Dallas Texans were the original Dallas Team playing in the Cotton Bowl, then came Dallas Cowboys. I have always hated the Cowboys.
Cheers,

Bill Barker left the Hudson Valley Mohawks a gift of some blankets picked up from a British hospital and has been given command of the 2nd Massachusetts Regiment, a member of Learned's Brigade during the Saratoga campaign.
