I have to give a <salute> to Maj. Gen. Viscount Natta of Fort Ticonderoga, KCB for the massacre at Fort Mackinac.

It was early morning of 17 July 1812. Most of the Garrison was out at the Pubs the night before, given Furlough by a Lt. E. Sands...

As the Companies on Furlough began to wake and return to the Fort...

A wild scream came through the early morning fog that would make the hair on your chin stand up.

One Company came running out of the pub in their longjohns and formed a line, after one volley they were no more...

A 2nd Company ran from the town only to be surrounded and hacked to death, none survived...

A 3rd Company formed up and surprised the savages a took down more than a few Redmen before getting butchered, 6 ran for their lives...

The Garrison was getting nervous and scared as all they could hear were screams...

The Artillery men were well trained and were ready with Canister...

Something was up...

Then they came, Injuns upon Injuns upon Injuns, so many that the Cannons fired over their heads in shock!

In the middle of the Fort, Lt. E. Sands convinced 1/2 the men not to fight! Why, because he really was Brig. Gen. E. Sands!

He was instantly taken as a spy as the overstreched Garrison tried to stop the Indians from gaining acces into the fort!

Within minutes Indians were everywhere! In the confusion Lt. Hanks hoped that Brig. Gen. E. Sands would get scalped with the rest of them in the confusion, as this would only be justice for the traitor!

6 men watched in horror from afar as the entire Fort was overrun...

Lt. Hanks watched as man after man was scalped, he fought with a vengeance...

Before Lt. Hanks could strike Brig. Gen. E. Sands dead, British Militia captured them both...

As the Colors were lowered, Lt. Hanks handed his sword to Lt. Col. Blake...

Fort Mackinac was now under British rule!

And a return salute to Chief Wakeman for a fine effort, even though an effort of his own choosing. [:I] Much as I loathe leading a band of unkempt savages or anyone not sporting a proper tricorn and red waist-coat, I do say that these heathens are a fiercesome lot, slashing and hacking away without mercy or conscience. I did get a chortle seeing several dozen Frenchmen trying to run away in their filthy longjohns from a surprise attack near the fort's latrine at river's edge, as they struggled to button up their back flaps and prime their muskets at the same time. [:D] The Natives did not find it amusing though as they cut the Frenchies down to a man. C'est la guerre though, what what? [}:)]

Yeah Ernie, you're a spy, I mean a Colonial leader in the 1812 scenario 071 Mackinac_a. [:D] Chief Wakeman wanted to hang you on the spot but my redskins saved your bacon just as you were about to drop through the trap door. [xx(][^]
