Hello all,

This is an unsolicited post...

There's an icon in the top left hand corner of this screen that say's "PayPal Donate". I just sent Alex a little bit of cash from my PayPal account and I'd like to suggest that those of you who can afford it do the same. Here's why:

Alex provides these message board (for 5 clubs plus the unofficial Boards) free of charge, and also helps us when there are problems. In addition to that he gives web space to several of the clubs so that they can have a stable add-free web space to run on. He's been doing this for several years and has never asked for any compensation. He's recently placed this icons there, but even then he hasn't required nor even blatantly asked for any money from us. And there's several hundred of us that benefit from his services.

So, I'd like to ask that you consider making a donation...even if it's only $1.00, because it all adds up. Just think of the hours of enjoyment you have received, and will continue to in the future.

HPS has no involvement with the boards?

No, there is no HPS involvement in the boards. Alex "owns" the boards and the web space and offers it for our use.

He is the overall system administrator (for wont of a better term) and helps those of us that are administrators and moderators of the various boards/clubs, when there are technical problems that we can't resolve.

There is NO commercial benefit that Alex gets from our use of these boards.

Ka-chink, ka-chink. In goes the coins! Saw the icon there last week but just now got paid. Thanks Alex. I have long abused, er, used your boards and know what its like to host sites for free.

It doesnt bother me in the least to see the icon and I hope that you are overcompensated for your time.

(humorous) - if you do get a TON of money in the til would you consider opening a Wargaming Retirement Home (WRH) for us? Just think - Rich and I with our laptops in our wheelchairs playing a LAN game of FIW!
