All true. We should also point out that while General Howe was in Philadelphia "socializing" with a lady friend and having a grand old time, General Burgoyne was getting his fanny whooped at Saratoga. Good show General Howe!

While I am on the subject of fanny whooping, would your lordship be up for a fight in 1776?[:D]

Right! A jolly good show General Howe! A gentleman officer, especially after a sucessful campaign followed by the occupation of a major enemy city, deserves a bit of ahhhh, "socializing" and is indeed very nearly obligated to do so. [8D] General Burgoyne was aware of this tradition.

I'm a bit over-extended at the moment, but your parry warrants attention and I would be honoured to have the chance to do my share of socializing after our engagement Sir. Please courier your proposals.
