Officers of the Club,
I am pleased to announce that the Club Staff has seen fit to award a
Outstanding Service Medal for continuous, reliable service (usually at least one year) in a more responsible staff or command position, or continuous outstanding contributions to the club life, or continuous outstanding battlefield exploits, or any other outstanding service short of the one required for the Orders of the Bath, Franklin, Washington, Lafayette, and Tecumseh. Awarded only once.
To
Brigadier General Joseph Alberti, DSMof
General Officer Commanding of the Right Wing (Royal North American Corps)
His Most Britannic Majesty's British Armies in America
also
Commander of the 40th (2nd Somersetshire) Regiment of Foot "The Excellers"
1st (English) Brigade
Right Wing (Royal North American Corps)
His Most Britannic Majesty's British Armies in America
He is now styled as
Brigadier General Joseph Alberti, OSMJoe's record of 60+ games goes back to 2002. He is a staple name in all the various clubs that have been apart of wargame.ch over they years, including defunct ones now. He is often found serving in staff positions and doing admin work. Here is no exception. Joe has been the General Officer Commanding of the Right Wing (Royal North American Corps) since before my tenure as the British CiC. He served under the last two CiC's before me, Steve Jones & Dierk Walter. Joe also, until recently, ran the webpage for his Wing. Due to time issues I took it over for him, but still am glad to have Joe in charge of the Wing. He ran great websites by the way. He is always available to help as time allows and has added some good input to the British Army over the years. Though he is very busy these days, he still makes time for the Club. I am glad he is with us, he's a good guy to have around.
Please join me in raising a glass to thanking Joe for his years of service!
