All Allied Players are invited to participate in the Campaign 2011 Tournament- A Tribute to Austerlitz. Allied Officers from any Allied Army can sign up for this tournament. Even though Austerlitz is headlined in the title, scenarios are available to play from a list, not only from Austerlitz, but also from other HPS titles, Wagram and NRC, as well as NiR for Battleground fans. There are shorter scenarios and longer, large and small, though all full battle. Take your pick. Matches are mirror matches, each player taking each side in 2 games, to avoid any problem of advantages in scenarios. The tournament is a contest of mirror matches between officers from the Allied Side and officers from the French Army. Points are awarded for each win and the side, Allied or French, with the most points at the end of the tournament is declared the winner.

We are ready to begin the tournament, but we need more Allied Officers to match French officers who have signed up to participate. There are a good number more French than Allied Officers presently signed up for the tournament even though officers from any Allied Army can participate.

This is a call to arms for Allied Officers to meet the French on the battlefield.

The Tournament Web page, maintained by Lt. Gen. Marco Bijl, and including the rules and list of scenarios is at:

http://home.scarlet.be/~tsh40803/Tourna ... 202010.htm

You can sign up for the tournament at:

The Tournament administrators are Lt. Gen. Marco Bijl of the Anglo Allied Army for the Allied Side and myself, Marechal Chuck Jensen, CiC of the French Army.

It seems our French opponents have signed up in droves to meet their inevitable defeat on the battlefield at our hands. What say you gentlemen? Will the Allied Officers answer the call of Lt-Generaal Marco and chase these French rats back into the sewers from which they were spawned?

Lt-Generaal Marco, if you need me to do so sir, I will fight two at a time, one with each hand until reinforcements arrive or I fall to the accumulated wounds.

The great Jeka, Hero of the Allied Armies, a most notable reinforcement indeed! A man whose hat on the field of battle is worth 20,000 soldiers......well, that would be 20,000 Allied soldiers, which equate to about 40,000 of the French ilk. :D

Thanks to officers from Allied Armies for stepping forward to meet the French.

The 2011 Campaign tournament has now enough on both sides to evenly match.

Well done. My respects to the Allied officers who once more threw themselves into the breach.

And thanks to all of the guys that got this going. Its exciting to see this game played as the showpiece for a tournament.

I wish I had time to participate but alas I am moving at the end of the year and have to spend time packing and finding a new house/apartment.
