Andy is our newest graduate into the AAA and will be assigned to the KGL. He will be a fine addition to our army and a thorn in the French asspirations.

Please allow the Ensign to purchase the libation of your choice before he dashes off to the field. I hear BG Jones will be picking up all follow on rounds. :P

I have been a member of the ACWGC for almost 5 years now.....Thought it was about time i learned the Napoleonic HPS games.
Had great fun training with Ed,boy he gave me a torrid time  He taught me a few tricks but i know i still have a lot to learn.Anyway looking forward to the battles ahead and meeting new opponents.

Why certainly I will pick up the tab for all subsequent rounds to welcome a fine, fellow German officer into the King’s German Legion of the mightiest army embroiled in these wretched wars that the French started!

The Hanoverian Brigade is flush with captured French gold; although I must admit that Marechal Bardon and his protégée Lieutenant Morehouse did damage our reserves a bit recently.

A toast to Ensign Taylor of the King’s German Legion! May your sword never sleep in your hand, and may it wreak unthinkable havoc on the misguided French every minute that it is awake!

And now, Helga, since Ensign Taylor is buying the first round, I will take six bottles of Jagermeister. That should last me until tonight. No, actually, on second thought, just make the first round an entire case.

Welcome Ensign Taylor! Since Brigadier Jones said you were buying I'll have a barrel of ale and a bottle brandy for a chaser. Now, when you've got a few hours I'll be glad to go over a few things that they probably skipped in your training, like the best method to use a salad fork against Hussars. There was this one time..........

Andy, How do you know when a Frenchman is done? You stick a fork in him!

And I did not think Hanoverians knew how to use a fork.

Oh, Welcome to the NWC Ensign Taylor!

Battle On,

Welcome Ensign Taylor to the ranks of the Allied Officers. You will find them very supportive and a great group of mentors. Don't be afraid to ask questions of anyone.

Mental? :? :? :?

Oh, no wait, he said "Mentors"! Whew! That's a relief. For a minute there, I thought the good Polkovnik was talking about me.

Actually, Andy, there are very good mentors on both sides of the club. If you really want to improve your gaming skills rapidly, I suggest you play with a mentor from the Coalition side in a multi-player game against a superior player and protégée of the opposing side. You see, your senior partner will not want to lose, so he will tell you all of his secrets in the hope that you will survive long enough for him to eek out a Draw and not damage his battle record. And if you happen to stumble up against the senior officer from the opposing side, you will be shown all of his tricks as well as he destroys your troops and rolls through your lines like you weren’t even there. OK, I do admit that it can be painful, but since when was learning something really worthwhile a gimme? :o  :P

Just telling you how I learned. I think I still have a lot of the bruises, but the good news is that my therapy seems to be progressing well, although I actually think they said "as well as could be expected". :x
