The details on how to use the Abbatis and Trenches will have to wait til the next patch from what Rich told me. I didnt even know that anyone knew of the feature. Perhaps its something in the Help file that you saw Stephane but it was one of those things we were keeping under wraps. So much for the surprise! If you need any other info on Abbatis and Trenches contact Rich at the support email address.
Dismounting and mounting of cavalry is better accomplished by having them either dismounted or mounted in the OB. I plan on putting in dismounted dragoons for each dragoon regiment in the OB sooner or later but doing it during a game is not as essential. I could see where it might be helpful during a LONG game though but I am not sure if its something that John Tiller will want implemented unless enough of you contacted him about it.
I would prefer differences for cavalry in column or line (the former for using roads mainly, the latter would have better combat values in melee).
I also would like to see skirmishers be able to go into a different formation to use a road. Not column but a general order of some sort.
I am also for road columns where units over a certain amount of men would have a second part of the unit extend into a rear hex. Berg's GMT Gettysburg game does this for infantry and cavalry and its a good thing.
Not sure if these will ever see the light of day but ...
