Well it took me 22 years to find out I am a Bachelor ... er, of Divinity that is! Got my diploma on Sunday night. I have been trying to get a degree since 1985. It was a humbling moment for both of us graduates (from our Bible Institute).

Some folks may not view such a degree as important but for me it was a higher honor than getting it from Princeton or some other seminary. The classes were no pushover with alot of memory work and ... hey we actually had to think (OUCH!)

I will be doing some travelling (YIPPEE!) now that I am out of school and turns may be slow for my games. On the other hand I have alot of work to do now that school is out (house, projects at church, bio I am writing) so you guys can expect to get turns during the Summer on a more consistant basis. Sorry for the delays in my games ...

Thanks for all of you that have been rooting for me over these last few years ...

I hope to get a Masters Degree from a college that was down the road from where I lived in Calif. One thing at a time though ...

Congratulations Bill! I admire your fortitude in sticking it out for the long haul! Now you've got me thinking about going back for a few classes in history.

Congratulations to Bill for his new diploma
Congrats also to Tony for his BS.

Well, as I never let a chance to learn, I would like that someone explains me the american system of diploma. I don't know what is a BS (I think this the equivalent of a licence in Europe as Tony speaks of a master after his BS) ?

Well in France you have
- Baccalaureat
- licence (three years after the Baccalauréat)
- Master 1
- Master 2
- Doctorat

Well I 'm not really sure as there was a reform the last two years.

Best regards

Yann,

In the USA college graduates receive a "Bachelor" Degree, either a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) if you majored in the Humanities or a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) if you majored in the Sciences or Engineering.

Post-graduate work at a university (Colleges can issue "Bachelor" degrees, but only a "university" can issue post-graduate degrees)leads to a "Masters" Degree, followed by a Doctorate.

Regards,

Paco
