A Spanish army has been talked about from time to time..

it really depends on the interest of the members in joining a new army.

The Spanish were only a part of the Anglo-Allies in club history. The INWC has some Spanish units w/French and Portugal. Our Allies Spanish HQ is not ready yet.

Actually, the big question is this.

Could we ever get Ernie into a Fez?

Is this a decent depiction of Ernie, would you say?

There was a Spanish division in the AAA some years ago. It died due to lack of interest, i.e. at some point all existing members were inactive and no new ones came in. So we closed it down.

It would be good for the club if Spanish players were encouraged to join. I know we have a few already. Maybe when/if HPS introduces a Pensiular Campaign game we can reactivate the Spanish Corps in the AAA to support that interest.

I will be happy to set up and maintain a Spanisgh Corp web page as a part of the AAA.

If it appears the interest is great enough it could then migrate to become a stand alone army.

It would be great to see more Spanish players in the club, but that would be helped by having games featuring Spanish armies. Then there are the Portugese... I think lots of people would like to see the Peninsula War covered in real depth...
