I now that the ACW games from HPS have all been patched to deal with Microslop's latest OS horror, but will the nappy games get patched ?

John Tiller has been diligently working on this issue and a patch that addresses the problems caused by Vista is in beta testing. Obviously, they don't want to issue a patch until they are sure that it addresses ALL of the problems caused by Vista.

All issues have been resolved and the update will be out very soon. Please dont ask Rich, Paco or myself for a date. Just like momma used to say "When dinner is ready its ready." [:D]

I would say that by next weekend at the latest.

Is there a workaround for the Talonsoft games, BGW, NiR and PTW...????

I suppose Matrix ( who will be re-releasing the games ) will have something to take care of Vista... But no date as yet for release

I did see in the Matrix forum that they anticipated release in July. I hope this does come to fruition soon (as Matrix obtained the rights in Oct 2005!)

I think what you will see from Matrix is the original game plus Talonsoft patch (which already works with Vista)plus different unit graphiics and a few extra scenarios. No engine changes. I don't think the Tiller upgrade (which does not work with Vista)will be included. Thus all the packs will contain is a glorified rerelease of the games.

The 32-bit updates off John Tiller's site will be included...he has already submitted those to them a year or more ago...but he's not doing any further work for them, so Andy's comments are probably right on, with the addition of the 32-bit updates and scenario editors.
