Hi Folks,

Well now that I half a better idea of how the HPS Eckmuhl engine works I must say I prefer it to the talon soft model.

What other good titles would you guys recomend?

Angelo,

I would suggest you try Jena next because it introduces a number of new approaches to the games. First, and foremost, the time scale is cut back to 10 minute turns. Second, it introduces the squadron as the basic maneuver unit for cavalry which allows for much better modeling for each country's cavalry organization AND the cavalry tactics of the period. Unit morales are lowered across the board. Stacking limits are also reduced and, last but not least, the cav charge bonus is radically increased. The overall effect of the changes is that they lead to a marked reduction in "blitzkrieg" tactics and a more historical flow to the battles.

Regards,

Paco
