The Anglo-Allied Field Marshal walked silently into the Tavern. His uniform was slightly dirty -- showing signs of gunpowder and mud. Behind him, peering into the room through one of the windows was his horse, who was shaking his head from side to side.

Upon reaching the bar, the FM requested a full pint of English Ale and turned toward the room, "Attention Friends,I would like offer a salute to the French Colonel Knox who has just bested my Prussian forces at Jena-Auerstadt. There is no doubt about the outcome -- the good Colonel has won a major victory. The Emperor should indeed be pleased with the skill and performance of this up and coming officer."

SALUTE!

Helga, a round for the house if you would be so kind.

FM Sir 'Muddy' Jones, KG

Thank you for the fine words Sir Muddy and the fascinating battle. Allow me also to buy all of the French officers in the tavern tonight a round in celebration of the victory of the Grande Armee.

Sir Muddy I will add perhaps this scenario may well favour the French. Sit at my table with me and we shall drink this fine New Zealand wine late into the night and debate it.

Salute!

Indeed Clifton may have drunk a little to much sirs. Sir Muddy please take no offense his heart is with the Emperor. But His mind is scarred by many battles, but he is a fine fellow and he always joins us for a drink. Come Marbot sit with me I shall buy you a drink.

Indeed allow me to also buy a round for these fine allied officers at my table as well and welcome Tomasz and thank you.

I have just also completed a victory over the equally famous Russian Jeka Gulyaev, another gentlemen allied officer. So drinks are free all night on me.

Salute!
