"One historical battle that does allow a lot of variation is the Twin Battle of Jena Auerstedt. I have played it three times and each one has turned out different."

Well one thing they all had in common was that you won them. [:(]

Hi Andy
I did manage one victory vs Sir Muddy, the second goes down in the books as a victory but it was a MP and the 2nd Prussian player went AWOL resulting in a concession by our opponents. Somewhat hollow.

The third is still in progress (it's the guards challenge) although it is going well but still majorly in doubt as our opponents are seasoned officers. Both of these latter two games are with Tomasz as my partner so that certainly makes life easier!

regards
Colin

Bon Jour , sorry to put ma port once again in this but it seems to stay on my mind that the true heroes of Waterloo or the Last road to Glory a chapter in my novel were Major General Constant Rebecque and the Prince of Saxe- Weimar who defied the Duke orders to pull back from Quatre Bras. The Dutch Armee, and the two main characters Lt Col Grant and General von Muffling. With out these men there would not in my opinion be any deployment. I feel there is too much said on the fact that the Prussian Armee defeated the Emperor or the Anglish merci. So once again my vote goes to the bon job on HP Waterloo now we can act out the Glory of 1815.

Monsieur I feel in my continuing this that the reply in these games gives to much information. It is true that the Armee’s did have spies every were but the combine intelligance that we get back from the reply is to modern an not keeping with the battles of the early 19th century which would make both game set up not quite historic
