To all the members participating in these recent threads in here. If you believe you remarks were very witty, they were not. Not at all. After all you are talking about the people who lost their lives. How can one make joke of such a thing?

Hmm.. or making fun of the ones who didn't die, which gives us all more targets for humour. After all, comedy is truth and pain (and, ideally, a little distance even if it's only 'that's not me!'). And with a King like Frederick William, it's hard not to laugh at the Prussians. [;)]

First, noone disrespected the dead. Second, having had served in the armed forces I would never feel disrespected if someone made the same cracks about me.

If its not your brand of humor just ignore it.

We live we die.
In between we should love, laugh and frolic for that is what makes for a good life.

"They shall not grow old
as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not wary them,
nor the years condem.
At the going down of the sun
we will remember them.
We will remember them
Lest We Forget"
