If you play a talonsoft by example waterloo, do you get more points by example when you done 1 turn?
one turn has a couple of phases.

That's a long standing policy here, and one of the reasons for that is that it becomes a gigantic nightmare to open that can of worms.

Sure, you exchange more files, but in terms of real time taken, the game systems end up being in the same ball park. Also, the bigger issue is that of scenario size. If we're going to award different points on the basis of Talonsoft vs HPS, we'd really need to also look at the size of a scenario. Is a turn of Quatre Bras really worth the same amount of points as one of Kutusov Turns to Fight? Or in HPS terms, the big 534 turn scenario in Eckmuhl?

So, it's long been the policy to keep everyone's life simple, and award all points on a simple basis.

And I must admit - I sometimes have played scenarios with less turns, less pieces to get more points. Guess that ruins someone's perception of me but I cant think of who it could be![:D]

I dont do it often but I have in the past picked up a short game to get over into the next rank because for the majority of the time I prefer the large battles and they take forever to finish.

That is unless you are playing Dean Beecham or Tomasz! [;)][:D][:p][B)]

Maarten,

Although there are more e-mails involved with the Talonsoft Games the points are the same. It is the turns played (along with the victory or defeat points) that determines the points.

I know it seems to take longer for the BG games but some phases do go rather quickly.

If you ever care to play a BG game let me know. I am absolutely dreadful at them (as opposed to being just bad at HPS, LOL).

Cheers,

Maarten,

When I said dreadful I meant that I am very bad at them. I enjoy them but I don't do very well at all.
