Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

I bought a new computer Windows Vista and all. I finally have gotten my e-mail working again, but am unable to install in of the new patches for the games, any help would be appreciated.

The main thing is NOT to install the games under the Program Group. They need their own directories under the c:\ root. I created and HPS Simulaions directly under C:\ and then a seperate directory under that for each game and have had no problems at all. Good luck.

I have them installed in the regular 'Program Files' directory and they work fine. Never had a problem. The updates automatically go to this folder C:\Program Files\HPS Simulations\Campaign "name of game" with my winzip self extractor. Makes it convenient. You can change it of course.

Never had any problems with Vista with any programs installed in the Program Files directory. Vista Premium SP1.

Note that I no longer use the installation setup in the CD I just copy the CD to the HPS directory. If you have only one game than you should do a regular install to make sure you computer has the needed directX and such.

Thanks to everyone, I have finally got them working ok. My biggest problem is I own a game called Pirates of the Burning Seas and it does not work
