Just downloaded this new map download from the HPS website. Impressive!
Are there likely to be similar ones produced for the other games?

This map with a tool we discussed here late in 2008 would be a treasure! Even without it the map is great. Thanks for the work! And hope there will be similar maps for Waterloo and Jena soon.

I saw this some time ago before it got put up on the website. Its very helpful but I wish that the names were larger. I probably will edit my version ...

Can you download anything from the HPS site?

It is strange that Vista would even interfere, UNLESS it balks at the .EXE file download. If so, there must be some setting someplace in VISTA to correct this.

I can email the file to you. Send me an email at:
waryor {AT} gmail {DOT} com and I will send the file.

Colin: Try this one, no idea if it works, but...:

And the bottom of this page:

And:

No idea if this works, but it sounds good.

This was from a GOOGLE search on "vista download problems".

Nope - the font chosen is thin and spidery. I prefer to use a bolder looking print for such large project. Makes everything look distinctive. See one of my Situation or Decision maps from one of my games for what I mean.

I put the Eckmuhl map together and if I didn't already know the names fairly well I would have problems reading them.

Its not a hard knock on the map. Just the facts. The font was too thin for such a large work.

Sorry, gentlemen, but I do not see what is really better there[?]
The existing Eckmuhl map is much more colorful and picturesque.[:I][8D]

The concept is actually a good one. Its gives you a really nice view of the entire area. Even with the improved Jump Map view (cant remember if its made its way to this game yet - its improved in Jena and Waterloo) you cant make out certain locations.

This map is SUPER! Well done!

That's right! Just open it with any graphic programme and use to plan your movements. It is not connected to the game engine in any way.

Well its quite a resonable map for a planning tool.
However with the black standing out so much I would have prefered that as the main roads/chasse. When planning the road system is obviously the most important visual so the roads need to be in a good visual palate for ease of automatically seeing the different grades/levels. blah blah blah blah blah [:p]
