Seems to be some confusion on how to end games:

When you report an end game you are reporting from your point of view

Example single player

You are an allied player, you suffered a major defeat. You therefore report a major defeat for you and the system reports a major victory for the other player.

Example Multiplayer:

You are the allied team and suffered a major defeat you report a major defeat for your self.

The system gives your allied team mates a major defeat as well.

The system assigns the Major Victory to the French team.

This is <b>very important post</b> from John. We had four instances yesterday of people entering the result as seen in game victory dialog (which is usually from the French perspective). In addition to this warning on the forum I have also added a hint on the system web page that will tell you to "<font size="4"><b><font color="brown">enter the result as it is seen from your perspective (if you lost, then enter a defeat)</font id="brown"></b></font id="size4">".

Also, if you enter the result in a bad way, despair not, there is an option for the moderator (me, John, any army commander) to "push back" your game to "playing" stage, so you could enter the result once more and properly.

As for the HistWar I have included only one scenario, "Custom Scenario", as maps are not really equal to HPS scenarios. There could be possibly a near-inifinite amount of scenarios devised by the players using the scenario generator, so I see no way we could have their names in the database as we can with HPS or Talonsoft games. Of course if this will be a popular voice I could add map names as scenarios, and then those names listed by rustem35 could be used.

I can not see the Austerlitz Campaign 2nd scn. Augsburg Campaign. 400+turns.
So can not register the same..

Also Me Bill Peterson . Ken and Ed. also had 2 games in the Waterloo 100 day tourny ..
These games were registered on the old way.. But we never got an end register .. Can i do these now.. I say this because .. In one game Bill and my self played the French .. In the other we played the Allies.. But under the Allies link our names will not be on them..

My temporary password identifies me as "Lt. Y. P. Jacob". He is a fine officer and comrade, but I doubt if he wants to be responsible for my losses. Please let me know how to change this to my correct identity.

Congratulations to all those who worked on getting this site up and running. It functions very smoothly. Very impressive effort.

The only question I have relates to the number of game turns actually played in the respective scenario. Currently this question is not asked. Should it be added to the system? Should the game turns be entered in the comment section? If game turns are not entered, how will the OBD be determined in the future?

@dean beecham: campaign scenarios are not in, see notes in earlier post. Please use generic "Campaign Scenario" for registering the Austerlitz game, use comments field if you wish to store some reference for yourself as to what game it is. As for the other game it's not up to me to decide if you can register them here to get the points. There is an option to have tournament games registered in the system, but they must be arranged by a moderator. Please ask John.

@Scotsmaster: I see you have your account there as well so it's not a question of renaming only. What is funny is that you two have the same OBD score. Please send me an email to morvael at gmail dot com so I can veryify which one you use. Maybe this Jacob is fictional?

edit: I see Jacob has now a different email and you will be able to login to your account. Seems like the original list which I used had mismatched emails, but that was fixed by John and Chuck recently.

@Genghis: You will have to enter number of turns played when you will register the fact that the game has ended. After that will be confirmed by your opponent and approved by a moderator you will get points.

One more important information: I see in the system that out of 42 games, 27 are yet unconfirmed by opponents (that's 64%). If your game still shows as having a numerical ID only, instead of a proper alpha-numeric ID 10-character long and a status of "Awaiting player confirm to start", please try to communicate to your opponents that they should log in to the system to confirm those games. They should have got a notification, but probably it's in the SPAM folder and they are unaware of this.

I used the system without a password and all worked as it was supposed to. I got a new (Temp) password and got in the system and set a NEW password. Everything looks good!!!
A NOTE for those CONFIRMING a GAME:

When you have the game screen, you will see that the game is not confirmed by you. Just select the APPLY button and that action confirms the game.

To Ernie hint I would add that if the system expects <b>you</b> to confirm a battle start or end the "View" text on the batte list will be bolded, so you will easily distinguish which battle requires your attention.

For game moderators the "View" will be bolded also in case they have to accept end game results.

Please try to reset your password first - start by giving proper email and any text for password when trying to log in.

The system works exactly as Dominik has stated.

It is a very neat system when you have forgotten your password.

I would like to move the page from
http://derwinski.pl/nwc/
to
http://nwc.derwinski.pl/

There would be a redirect so it should be pretty invisible to you, except that you should update your bookmarks to access the site directly and browsers may ask you for password once more as the one remembered for derwinski.pl might not be used for nwc subdomain.

Another change, this time requested by one of you will be a switch from napoleonic.wargames.club@gmail.com to nwc.dor@gmail.com (dor stands for Department of Records). Please add this address to your white lists.

A quite invisible change would be the addition of Google Analytics to the site, so I could monitor traffic to see if there is really something to fear from the load you may generate on my server or not. This should be in no way harmful to you.

The change is not scheduled yet, but I would be happy to do it anytime now.
