Hi Gents just thought I mighjt post here on the issue of IE vs Firefox. Stats I have on a range of busy websites are still showing 60-65% of users on IE. And only about a 3rd on all the rest. With as low as 20% on firefox.

I don't think this will ever change and perhaps that may be an issue for the system going forward.

However each new version of IE is more and more closely following the standards, which improves it's perception. I think IE8 with compatibility view turned off works quite well with the site (the suggestion box disappear when trying to use scrollbar, but that's the only issue it has). IE9 should be even better.

I mainly use Firefox and the site works all right on my system.

Ok Im trying to do an end game form and start game forms but my name does not come up in the Add Officer (French) portion?
Ive checked my details and they are all correct in the Statu and Profile sections.
I seem to be not on the French Army records for the add offficer drop down menu.
Please Help [:)]

Pardon me, but I think our two messages are about different things

On my site people are redirected for help to this thread but on the old forum. I want to change the link to this thread's link, but first I would like to see it stickied like it was on the old forum OR to get a new stickied thread for that purpose (to help people having problems with records site).

I can't get a game registered, have tried both IE and Fierfox.

In IE I can't even get the scenario list to load properly.

In Firefox I can choose the scenario and add my name and my opponents, hit Add and it shows our names, but when I hit Apply I get Failed to Update.

You have to do it one step at a time...

First you select the game type
then the scenario name

THEN hit the APPLY button

After that you should be allowed to add players

Add each player one at a time

My opponent in a campaign game could not find a scenario that matched ours and the game was registered wrong. I found the reply that covers entering campaign battles. Should we re-enter our game and get the other one cancelled or can someone change the data in the current game id ?

I can cancel the bad game id.

I finally found time to work on the site (coincided nicely with the request to add new games like CoG:EE and C:NAW), amongst the coming changes there are:

• added 12 scenarios for Histwar
• added Crown of Glory: Emperor's Edition with 16 scenarios
• added Commander: Napoleon At War with 8 scenarios
• ability to assign individual victory levels to players instead to a single side in battle (for CoG:EE)
• ability to call "turns" with some other name (eg. "minutes") for game and to specify a function to convert those units to normal turns for scoring purpose (for Histwar)
• ability to display a hint how to translate game result to NWC system when proposing end result (for CoG:EE, C:NAW and Histwar)

..and several other things that follow

As of now these new features are running on the test site only, not the main site. If all goes well I hope to launch this on Monday 11th. For a time (an hour maybe) the system may be not available to you, when I will update it. Currently running Histwar games will not get those new features mentioned (the game will be renamed to Histwar - old), only new ones (as it's impossible to update old records now, that would break system history logs).

When this will be up and running I hope to make some statistical reports to be available for site administrator, that I hope will be presented here on 1st anniversary of launching the system (May 1st).
