Gentlemen, I know this has been touched on before but does anyone have a definitive, proven method to play the Battleground games from one disc to save wear and tear?

The simplest thing to do is to make a new folder called (something like) HPS_cdrom.

Then COPY ALL YOUR HPS and TS individual game folders to this new FOLDER. (YES, it works for TS BG games, also.)

Then,in these COPIED folders, delete everything except the .EXE files in EACH game folder.

Then burn ONE CDROM with EACH of those folders. (DO NOT just copy theHPS_cdrm folder.) Each of the almost empty game folders MUST be burned in the root of the CDROM.

This method is tried and true and can not miss.

Note that the important thing is that the folders have exactly the same name as the ones on the original game CDs, otherwise it doesn't work.

The way I do it is to create for each new game a folder with exactly the same name in a working directory on the HD, then simply copy the main game EXE into that folder. (Saves you the copying of entire games, then deleting 99% of the files ...)

Dierk - Ernie's method is the patented US Marine Corps method. Marines always do more work than anyone else!

Hello,

Does it matter when patches come out? (with new .exe files)

No. You just need to add new games, in the same manner.

I keep a folder called HPS_CDROM with ALL the TS and HPS titles, then when a new game comes, I copy that NEW folder into HPS_CDROM, delete everything except the EXE files and BURN it on the same CDROM.

Make sure you leave the CDROM open and do not close it. However, it is just as easy to make a new CDROM for the ALL GAME DISK,if you need to.
