Sir's a toast to the CO of the Old Guard! Marechal Bardon. He has passed 100vp's with a recent victory!
That's a hell of a lot of victories.

Salute!

We expect nothing less of the Commander of the Old Guard.

Well Done Jeff, have a seat by the fire with me and let us go deep into our cups.

Actually thinking about it a toast is very appropriate as that is how Marechal Bardon's opponents end up - toast.
What say you allied rabble and lackeys of the perfidious albion?

Seems a bit quite in the tavern tonight. Perhaps the 'scum of the earth' will not join Marechal Corbin and I in this toast.
Marechal Corbin allow me to pour you some more Margaux from my personal cellar.

I have a Hanoverian rifle here we can fire off across the tavern if we drink a little to much. :!:

Careful with that rifle, my dear General. Such weapons, particularly those of Hanoverian manufacture, have a rather nasty reputation of harming French officers when discharged.

A well deserved toast to you Marechal Bardon! 100 VP's is certainly a notable accomplishment!!

Hmm, wondering if he had played Aspern-Essling 50 times as the French if he would have amassed 100 VPs. So much for the "toast" comment ... it is a well known fact that many French officers refuse to play certain scenarios .. but there is no doubt that Herr Bardon plays top notch Allied officers on the norm and not our junior members.

I will "toast" monsewer Bardon anytime on the field of Aspern-Essling ...

That aside I do toast Jeff as he is a fine officer and has done his army proud. Good job Jeff.

Now let's toast some Frenchies, fellow Allies, shall we?

Bill,

Colin, the time for you and I to face off again is growing near....

Ah yes Jim I do recall Aspern Essling. A tough fight indeed for the French. However I do recall the Strudel eaters were sent packing in the end and we French promptly pleasured the ladies of Vienna in a way they have always wanted to be.

I don't think Marechal Bardon falls into the category of not fighting certain scenarios Bill. Indeed I am fairly assured he would wipe the floor with your Prussian sausage machine.

Helga more drinks...

Aspern-Essling open to any of you Frenchies. Easily show you why your toadie commander in chief lost. :P

Vive Las Vegas! :D

Thank you General Knox for the toast.

Yes, Marechal Corbin, let's see if there is enough on tap in this fine establishment to see us properly soused and laid out under the table before the night is done.

Thanks to the "toasted", in truth, from the fields of Belgium, to Bavaria, the Marchfeld, Brunn, Austerlitz, the gates of Smolensk and beyond to the steppes of Russia. It's been manay a long year of campaigning, but through it all, it has been a pleasure to take the field against many fine and noble opponents.

Setting aside the idle threats from the junior Prussian propaganda officer who may have mixed something a bit harder in his lemonade, there are quite a few fields where an outnumbered French army may seize glory from the hands of our enemies. Sometimes, it does not work out, but most of the time, the eagles have emerged from the test victorious.

100 Points! Congratulations Marechal Bardon. You probably won at least 50 of those against me. You have been one challenging opponent over the years. Salute!

Now get on out to the fields of Jena before my horse gets bored.

All well before my time, Andy. However, unless I am mistaken, you are now rapidly closing on 200 VPs. That would mean that, single handedly, you outweigh much of the Old Guard's combined victory tally. Add Sir Muddy's record and a few others and......wow!

It's certainly good to be playing for the winning side!!!
