It is my great pleasure to introduce an officer the allies will soon learn to fear and respect.

Lt. Paul Moyal is a recent Graduate of L'Ecole Militaire. Reports are that that he acquitted himself with great skill and courage.

Please put your affairs in order before you step on to the field to challange thsi fine officer.

The first round is, of course, on the newly minted Lt.

Thank you for that generous introduction, and for the warm welcome I've received from all since first being introduced to NWC.

"Well met Lt. Moyal," says a Hanoverian Lt. Colonel as he rises from his seat. "I have long been wondering if La Grande Armee was still recruiting. You are the first young officer I have seen for your army in quite some time. A most fortuitous event, as my young Hanoverian wolves were in dire need of some fresh meat."

"I am glad to hear that you excelled in your studies at L'Ecole Militaire. I personally admire a good, French student who takes the teachings of disorder, rout and surrender to heart. No doubt, you will have many opportunities to perfect these tactics once you enter into battle with some of our fine, Allied officers."

"I thank you in advance for buying the first round. As for me, twelve shots of Jagermeister should be a good start. Not quite as filling as the cask of ale regularly consumed by your Marechal Bardon on such occasions, but packing quite a punch nonetheless."

"And now for a proper toast," says the Lt. Colonel as he raises his glass in the air. "May your defeats always be spectacular, may the disintegration of your command under fire be unrivaled, and may your beloved Emperor swiftly achieve his glorious destiny as a captive on a British prison barge moored off the coast of Gibraltar!"

Welcome to the NWC Paul! :P

Yes, Yes, a toast to the new peacock. Soon to be ripe with titles, awards and silly ribbons on his otherwise useless uniform. How splendid he will look as he makes his way to the barge, to be with his little friend!

Now Helga, please bring me a few shots of Killepitsch. It always settles my stomach after such a review.

Welcome and thanks,

Paul:

I know that you at least read the posts in the forum. My earlier response to you was typical to my character and rather harsh for the welcome to a new member. Never take me too seriously. I owed your good Marechal Bardon a reposte for a toast he had offered earlier in the week for one of my new Hanoverian ensigns. Your introduction just happened to provide the proper mechanism for its delivery. It sounds like you have some experience and talent. Very good! All kidding aside, I am glad to see it.

I have entered a rather lengthy post in John's forum thread introducing Andre Massena. If you get some time, you might try to read it. Some of it may be useful to you, but only you can make that decision.

Welcome to the club, Paul! Good luck with your games and always have fun.

Congratulations, Lieutenant Moyal!

First and foremost, I salute you on the completion of your training and look forward to your long and glorious career.

Second, now that you have withstood the toast of M. Jones, you will find that that is about all the Allies can muster when it comes to battle with the Grande Armee and L'Empereur. The delusional rants are but wishful thinking that rarely is matched on the field. Also, given that I was the apparent target, or at least the inspiration for the toast (which most assuredly brought forth a hearty chuckle), you can see there is little to fear from the good sir's aim.

So, enjoy yourself as we toast to your future success. The glory on the field, at the expense of the poor allied rabble, will purchase you the titles and awards that our Hanoverian friend seems to fear so greatly. The rout and disorder that you will inflict on the enemies of la Patrie will send those in the pay of perfidous Albion scurrying (like rats? Nah, too obvious.) to their ships. And as they find their treasury depeleted and continental friends hard to come by, those same hulks that they so liberally threaten with, shall become their last bastion as they descend in to ignominious defeat.

Cheers!
