Konungariket Sverige (Kingdom of Sweden)

Svenska Armén (Swedish Army)

New Allies come to the aid of the Coalition. Sweden has declared war upon France and has opened it's recruiting doors for business!!

The Lil' Corporal's men would be wise to seek shelter as the Coalition has swelled in it's support....

Note: The Swedish Army is an autonomous army within the newly created Combined Austro-Prussian-Swedish Army. It generally functions like any other Club army.

Yeah I generally took the old iNWC site and used that. Medal requirements are subject to change, to make them fit more with here.....might also add more too.

Bernadotte? Whoa, big loss there.

No seriously, you guys can keep him and may he lead the Swedes as well as he handled the Saxons at Wagram or his timely support of Davout at Auerstadt.

Actually in defense of Bernadotte:

1. Wagram - he was sent into the heart of the fight on the first evening and endured quite a bit of fighting for the village. Thus on the second day his troops should not have been in the fore. Yes, his bluster after the battle was dumb. But his troops had fought pretty much on the 5th.

2. Auerstaedt - yes, he was following orders of Napoleon to march to the Jena area. And woe to the officer that didnt obey the Ogre.

Ahh yes I hear the Swedes were found

Between the Turnips and the Carrots

You can keep Bernadotte he is most definetly a jealous vegetable.

His command of the Saxons at Wagram is quite famous. Indeed its appropriate he commanded them.

Salute!

The Saxons are an enigma. During 1806 it is known they fought with distinction. In several cases better than their Prussian masters.

Bernadotte was no Davout and had no ability to instill the proper transformation that they needed. They should have been used to help the Poles fight the Austrians. Much better suited to a support role on their neighbors.

That Napoleon actually put them into one of the hottest areas of the battlefield on the night of the 5th says much too. I really think that his star was waning as far as being able to place troops correctly. Witness his deployment for Aspern-Essling with a river at his back. Even Wagram had serious issues. Our games cannot model the panic that the supposed appearance of John caused in the ranks with men running for the rear ...

I am not a huge supporter of Bernie but I am also saying here that Napoleon was to blame as well. He should have allotted this key point to divisions in the 4th Corps-Massena.
