Gentlemen Officers of All Armies:

Please join me in a toast to Captain Vincent Maddis, the newly appointed Commander of the Spanish Brigade of the Anglo-Allied Army! Old Vincent graduated just ahead of me at the Royal Military Academy. I remember passing him in the hallway just after I had gathered up my cadet's uniform. I had yet to meet my RMA Instructor, Generaal Moss, and asked Vincent what he thought of the Academy Commander. Vincent replied, "You will like Generaal Moss, I think............if you survive his training that is." And then he grinned at me and walked away. I don't think I slept a wink that night, tossing and turning in dread of the morning light and the start of my training as a soldier.

A toast to our new, Spanish speaking Captain! :P :P :P

Thank you good sir.

With muskets clean, sabers sharpened and moustache trimmed, the Spanish are ready to face the French incursion! In order to celebrate, I've ordered several barrels of wine all courtesy of our fine new Ensign, may his purse rest in peace.

A toast to all my comrades in arms! To General Moss for his fine, albeit brutal training. I will be sure to send any of my new recruits to you for a good whipping into shape.
Also let me thank Marco Bijl, a fine commander who knows how to oversee a party...err..army very well!

As to the French...

Preparar, cobardes!

Por España!

I can take a battle on sir, given that's not too large. This is a fresh brigade, and we prefer recruits that aren't drunkards so as you can imagine we don't fill our ranks as easily as the French do.
