MAPS!

Y'all realize you can create sub_maps, right? This title is great for sub_mapping. The overall terrain is open enough you can make good small maps to create almost any kind of battle!

YIPPIEE!

Thanks Bill!

I,for one, am disappointed in the selection of Leipzig for the next title as it has unleashed the Mad Prussian into a posting frenzy.

Seriously, a campaign of this magnitude had to be a massive undertaking. Well done, Bill. I will be downloading sometime after the holiday spending ceases.

Greg - download only. No CD with John Tiller Software products that he sells on his own website.

Al - check out 058. Dennewitz: The Cauldron - this is a slightly larger version of the #000. Getting Started scenario. I must confess that a HTH version of #000 would be a good idea for the next update. Or just release it on Steve Trauth's website right away.

I could work on this title for the next six years and never exhaust the possibilities. The Alternate version ideas I got were incredible. Just only so much time to work on the game and then I had to move on.

I was working on a mammoth scenario using the Fall.oob file. When you get a chance crack open the Scenario Editor, then look in the OB_View folder and look at the Fall_OB view scenario. Over 400,000 French men and over 500,000 Allies.

No Scott, Greg is going to get all of his holiday shopping done by Thursday. Then buy the game on Friday so you can enjoy it for the entire weekend! (he may have to hold up a liquor store to do it but all for the love of Napoleonics!)

Bill had the game since Monday, and only opened the game today and played the 000 scn.

However... I've spent nearly 6 hours in the scenario editor looking at the OOBs and Map files. ;-)

Very good work, young man, very good work. I like the CL series as well Rich W. ;-)

A tile set for winter would be spectacular for this title. Danzig needs a siege! :-)

Is it me, or is a very colorful WWI trench scenario screaming to be done around Dresden. hehehe...

TON of possibilities with this title. Nicely done.

I think I heard the Danes rumbling about the Swedens being on the mainland. Looks like a fight brewing. ;-)

Speaking of Dresden, notice the Saxons are really wanting to keep the Prussians out!

Many what if scenarios from 1806 & '07 found in this title. hmmmm....

A wonderful birthday gift!

I did not mean for the Snow folder to be left out of the game. I believe that you could just add that folder in from the Austerlitz game and it would work.

There is a Danzig map in the game and one scenario dealing with one of the attacks by the Allies on Rapp's command. This map can work with Eylau very easily too. I sent it over to Rich Hamilton so he could do what he wants with it.

Truly there are so many more scenarios to add in. For the next update I should have the following actions added in:

Coswig
Dohna (south of Dresden)
Horselberg
Retschow
Roslauer
Theissen

I wanted to add in a map for Stettin as well but there are additional maps of the area north of Berlin that the players can use for what-if situations.

Time did not allow me to put in a Northern Campaign. I will add in a map for the city of Schwerin as well. I really like the lakes! LOL

Check out the Fall Optional OB - Davout has a major command in the regular army.

Anyway, off to do some mapping ...

Bill, you may not be wrong.

Tomorrow, on the anniversary of Austerlitz, I will celebrate my 50th Birthday. I am hopeful that some kind person or persons will present me with sufficient tokens to enable me to purchasse JT's latest offering.

Given the sheer size of the project, I am sure that "Campaign Leipzig" will keep me occupied in my dotage.

My sincere thanks to all those who participated in bringing this title to life. :D

Bill,

Thanks for the design folder. Very helpful. Should you edit any of it, could you add into the OOB doc as to how many characters can be used for labels? Thanks.

Al - the length can vary based on the character you pick. For instance an "i" takes up less space than a "m" so I am not sure that an exact count works.

Warren Bajan knows the golden number. I just check em after I build the OBs and prune them down.

"Tulsa Lancers" does fit though!

"Little Tulsa Cuirassiers" may be stretching things a bit! :D

(add by edit) The total that will fit is 19 but 18 looks better. If you use spaces deduct from the total. I will add this into the OB_Guide
