Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

Please welcome Sekondlieutenant David Stotsenburgh to the Königlich Preußische Armee. David was a member of the club 10 years ago and remembers many of us that were here then. He is no novice to the games, is brushing up on his French-squashing tactics with Herr Ludwig, and soon will be out to join the fight!

Sekondlieutenant Stotsenburgh takes command of the Pommersches Nationalen Kavallerie-Regiment, 1. Kavallerie-Brigade
Reserve-Kavallerie, 1813 Befreiungskriege (Wars of Liberation) Armee-Korps.

This regiment was formed by ObLt Sydow in the Spring of 1813 at his own expense and two of the squadrons went on later to join the Dragoner Garde Regiment in 1815 while the third became the III/4th Ulan regiment.

Not to be mistaken for the Landwehr Kavallerie these NKRs as they were known all furnished NCOs to the line units.

David joins the "Black Menace" just as we get underway on our campaign to liberate Germany and the Rhenish provinces of all of the Frenchies! Welcome Herr Stotsenburgh!

For Club Games: I prefer the Single Phase mode of play. I prefer to play with the following options OFF:

MDF, VP4LC, NRO, MTD, CMR, PR, MIM, NDM, OMR (ver 4.07)

Guten tag, Unterleutnant Stotsenburgh! Sounds like our venerable French adversaries may be in for a rude surprise.

If you happen across Marechal Bardon in your adventures, please be sure to look through his field case for enlistment forms for the French Army, burning any of them which are already filled out. Unless you have taken the time to read several other posts in this forum, you will not understand the reference but, trust me, I will be very appreciative of your efforts in this regard. I am starting to itch under all of this metal that Marechal Knox affixed to my torso.

In the meantime, let me welcome you into your new command by sharing a drink with you, on your tab of course.

guten tag colonel jones. i have made arrangements with helga for schnapps for all my friends, and lemonade of course for colonel peters. if i ever have the pleasure of meeting marechal bardon on the battlefield i will make sure i root through the smelly cheese and dainty items in his satchel looking for french enlistment papers.
