Hear ye, hear ye, I am Michael Peccolo, newly minted Ensign of the Feld Jagers of the Great Hannoverian Brigade. I wish to toast you one and all and offer up to say, the bar is open to one and all for it is I who will pay the piper tonight. However, tomorrow will bring a new day and I shall endeavor to show those misguided soldiers of France that it is their turn to pay the bill! So... Ich bin der lustiger Hannoverianer!!!!

What? Oh, surely you all don't think I had something to do with this.

"Helga, please place all charges for the drinks of our newest Hanoverian officer tonight on my tab. After all, it is the very least that I can do as his commanding officer."

"Oh, and also be sure to place the drinks of everyone else, my own included, on the young Ensign's tab tonight in honor of our finer traditions. A double shot of Jager will be good for starters, and you might as well set aside a keg or two of ale as the Commander of the Vieille Garde should be along soon enough to stake his claim. And if General Peters happens along with the Black Menace, well, let's just say that our young Ensign might need to defeat an entire French Corps just to be able to collect enough spoils to pay his bar tab tonight."

"To your good health, Ensign Peccolo. May your enemies never detect your stealthy approach, may your aim be true, and your bullets always strike their mark! A toast to the Hanoverian Feld Jagers, the best dang unit in the entire Anglo-Allied Army!" :P :P :P

Herr Windbagenfuhrer has returned! Be careful, Ensign, he means what he says. Just keep nodding like you are listening. If you interject, "You don't say", every so often, you can keep him on a roll for days. The good thing is that Helga will continue to bring you drinks and, once you really get him wound up, you can start putting the drinks on his tab without him ever noticing.

Old Windy becomes oblivious to all else when he is standing on the tabletop with gleaming eyes preaching the merits of his beloved Prussia.

Uh-oh.

Placing a gentle arm around the young Ensign's neck, the Hanoverian Colonel leans in close to whisper into the jovial officer's ear, "Field Marshall Blackburn is the esteemed Commander of the II Corps, you know, the one with all the Highlanders, 95th Rifles, and such, of the Anglo-Allied Army. He also honorably serves as the Commanding officer of the 2nd Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Regiment of British Foot Guards. Just keep smiling and singing. There is always the off chance that he didn't hear you."

Now see Mike, those last two are viable targets. Unrepentent Frenchmen, the both of them. Of course, wait until Marechal Bardon arrives......

You know, he has been awfully quiet since the Superbowl......... :( :( :(

And this Bill Reaves chap, is probably the worst of all in terms of his verbal prowess. His literary works are nothing short of amazing. Here are a couple of examples:

English Puppets:

It must be most distressing to see your enfeebled monarch unable to decide whether he is English or German, each being more reprehensible than the other. But don't worry, we chivalrous Frenchmen will see that Hanover takes it's deserved place in history; that is, the dustbin.

One can only admire the child-like trust of your infantry and strategically-challenged officers, reminiscent of sheep advancing to their assured slaughter.

We are happy to help the Hanoverian Widows and Orphans Fund continue it's spectacular growth.

Your Most Cordial Enemy

Idiot Children:

Even in the cultural swamp of Hanover, you must have heard of our discovery of the Rosetta Stone. We found this priceless relic of ancient wisdom while civilizing the Middle East, and before executing our Turkish captives in the most brutal fashion imaginable. To no one's particular surprise, upon translation the ancient text read: "The Hanoverians are completely worthless, and should probably be destroyed". So as your men face the impenetrable Wall of Death and the prospect of spending eternity in the Seventh Level of Hell, you will know you have been doomed since the dawn of Civilization.

You will be most amused to note that our beloved and just Emperor has found that a small blot on his map of Europe is not indeed bird excrement, as was generally accepted, but is actually the temporary Electorate of Hanover. Either way, he will remove it from the map with a casual flick of his Imperial Middle Finger.

Advocating the Cause of Peace Through Superior Firepower,
Les Heros de France

Of course, all his writings are purely fictituous in nature, without any small shred of truth, but they are most entertaining to read.
