Gentlemen Officers of All Armies:

It is with the greatest pleasure that I announce to you today the promotion of one of my Hanoverian officers, Mike Peccolo, to the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Along with his promotion, he was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal for his superlative efforts by my side on the fields of Saxony.

I am also very pleased to announce the promotion of one of our Brunswick bretheren, Omar Quatar, to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.

Please join me and raise your glasses in a toast to these two fine and deserving men.

Congratulations, gentlemen!

Greetings! Having engaged both of these fine officers in battle recently, I can attest to their courage under fire, and their fine skill at maneuvering units on the battle maps.
1st Lt Peccolo, aka the Shrike (Josephine scowls at the mention of that feathered fiend), distinguished service in the fields of Saxony, indeed!
Routing my forces, argh!
2nd Lt. Quatar! Well done, sir! The survivors of Grosbeeren remember you.
"Ok, Josephine, let's finish cleaning up the mess that the shrike deposited upon your pretty lil head."

Gentlemen, gentlemen..... It is indeed a great day for us and our Brunswick brethren. :D Even our beloved leader has been promoted to General :D In no time, the Hanoverians will be the finest fighting unit in the Allied Coalition! Drinks, drinks for all, even the stuffy Prussians, bah ha ha

Why, I do think this celebration needs a song, come on everyone, hum if you don't know the words..... :D

Heute wollen wir marschier'n,
einen neuen Marsch probier'n,
in dem schonen Westerwald,
ja, da pfeift der Wind so Kalt.
Oh, du schoner Westerwald!
Uber deine Hohen pfeift der Wind so kalt,
jedoch der kleinste Sonnenschein dringt tief ins Herz hinein.

Und die Gretel und der Hans
gehn des Sonntags gern zum tanz,
weil das Tanzen Freude macht,
und das Herz im Leibe lacht.
(Jede mann!!!)
Oh, du schoner Westerwald!
Uber deine Hohen pfeift der Wind so kalt,
jedoch der kleinste Sonnenschein dringt tief ins Herz hinein.

Congratulations Lt Peccolo and 2nd Lt. Quatar!

But I must point out to a certain Prussian General the only real soldier in the Prussian Army was the Queen! And a lot of Cowardly Frenchmen marched all over Europe for almost 15 years! And Blucher only saved the day because the English and their Hanoverians died wearing out Napoleon's Army.

Well done Gentlemen! Now, since my aide has seem to wandered off perhaps you could spot an old officer the coin to buy a drink to toast you with.

Then that means France was defeated by amateurs then.... :D A lot of Frenchmen died all over Europe in 15 years for one mans vanity. On the final note, what goes around comes around, plenty of Prussians died at Ligny while the Duke had tea.... 8)

Yes those Prussians died and Ligny but they lost the battle as well, too a lot of amateur soldiers too! Ligny, too bad it was Napoleon's Last Victory. Well some of my ancestors was most likely there, because this French Lt Colonel is all Prussian go very far back in German History!

And one last thing, I would have been disappointed if I had not heard from the Prussian General!

Battle On
