Voting is now open for the 2011 Charles S. Roberts Awards. Ballots close on July 29th.

The Charles S. Roberts Awards are presented annually for excellence in the historical wargaming hobby. Charles S. Roberts, in whose name this award is given, invented the modern wargame industry almost single-handedly. As a designer and the original owner-operator of The Avalon Hill Game Company, which he founded in 1958.

If a game wins a Charlie it gains a higher level of respect in the community. Here is your chance to support the incredible work that John Tiller and Bill Peters have done to improve and expand Napoleonic computer war games. Take 2 minutes to register and then cast a vote for Leipzig.

Here is the link. You have to register before you vote.

The entries for Best Pre-20th Century Era Computer Wargame are

Leipzig - John Tiller Software
Mount&Blade: Warband - Napoleonic Wars
Mount&Blade: With Fire & Sword
Shogun 2 Total War
Shogun 2 Total War : Fall of the Samurai

Done, Bill! And I even included what I hope is a rousing commentary and recommendation. Yeah, I know, as shy and bashful as I tend to be, it really is surprising that I would take the time to add a comment to my vote. Still, it is for a good cause.
